History of the 2nd Canadian Anti Tank Regiment

 
1.         The 18th Battery from Regina, Sask, 20th Battery from Lethbridge, 23rd Battery from Calgary and 108th from Kimberly, BC Royal Canadian Artillery were assigned to the 2nd Anti Tank Regiment RCA on 1 December 1939.
 
2.         The news came over the radio in the early part of the evening; that all organized resistance on 21 Army Group Front was to cease at 0800hrs Saturday, 5 May 45. Prime Minister Winston Churchill announced end of war at 1500hrs 8 May 1945, hostilities to cease one minute after midnight that night.
